Where it runs
Hosted in the EU
Everything that touches your conversations runs in the Netherlands: the app, the database, and the model itself. Your messages are not sent to Aleph Alpha or to any other AI company.
What runs where
- The website and app
The Netherlands (Google Cloud, region europe-west4)
Receives your messages and shows the replies.
- Your account and chat history
The Netherlands (Google Cloud, region europe-west4)
A database that is reachable only from inside our private network, never from the internet. Stored encrypted.
- The model (Qwen3-4B (test model))
The Netherlands (Google Cloud, region europe-west4)
Qwen3-4B (test model) is an open-weight model from Alibaba Cloud. We run it on our own GPU server, which has no public address. Nobody else's AI service is involved.
What happens to a message
- Your browser sends it to the app over an encrypted connection.
- The app passes it to the model over a private network inside the same data-centre region.
- The reply streams back to you and is saved with the chat, so you can read it again later.
Conversations are stored so that you can come back to them. They are not used to train any model.
The limits of "in the EU"
- The data centres belong to Google. They are in the Netherlands, but Google Cloud is run by a company based in the United States.
- Your connection enters Google's network near you. Like any website on a large cloud, the encrypted connection is accepted at the closest entry point and carried from there to the Netherlands.
- Payments. Paid plans are not switched on yet. When they are, payments will be handled by Stripe, which processes payment details under its own terms, in part outside the EU.
- Account emails. Confirmation and password emails are not switched on yet. When they are, they will be sent through an email delivery service that receives your email address, not your chats.
Deleting your data
You can delete single chats from the sidebar, or your whole account with every chat from the account page. Both take effect immediately. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days and then expire.
